Post: my first text editor in python
02-17-2012, 05:52 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); this is my first program i actually finished after countless hours spent working with python(really was like one month working with python)

but here is what i got
it's just a simple text editor.

so simple i didn't get to add close file or any editing features like font color etc.
but here it is.

you have to maximize it to actually use it.
also you have to have wxpython if it's not installed i don't think you can use it. but it's free.

would be better if downloaded rather than copy and pasted won't work if copy and pasted.

virus scan:

no viruses detected :fyea:
btw i scanned the actual file.

and
me - for making this p.o.s. lol :p

hopefully someone makes something cool out of it if not idk. i'll release another if i get the default sizing to work.

here are some screen shots.

*UPDATE*
after a bunch of trial and error i finally got the default sizing perfect.
also a few more notes on this program.

it can only open files in the same directory as the program is on
so if it's on the desktop only desktop file will be able to open.

updated the link so go download if you want to use from up top
*UPDATE*

newest screenshots:
You must login or register to view this content. - app on first start default sizing right Happy

Nice. Did you work on this periodically or just when you had free time?
