(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so I just got the blue screen of death (2nd time this week) I made a post saying how within the past 2 days my computer has been slow, mainly Internet wise, YouTube videos won't load, Facebook won't load after clicking a link. I thought I had a virus only all virus scans crash midway through scanning I tried mcafee visits scan and it crashed and I tried Microsoft security essentials scan and it crashes. Now I'm getting the blue screen of death saying "worker thread returned bad irql" this comes up when I'm just surfing the web. I have a dell xps with an i7 processor and 8 gigs of memory, how am I getting blue screen of death while watching YouTube videos (or should I say attempting to watch YouTube videos because they won't load ever)

do a windows restore from the last time u updated from b4 the problems happened so if u picked a virus or so it would be gone, if that dont work a complete windows reinstal, if that dont work then a new computer, well motherboard or harddrive or maybe ur internet is just that slow but crashing a virus scan wouldnt do that

Have you recently been messing with anything? You maybe could have deleted the driver for your internet (not sure of the proper name, wifi adapter or whatever) or it could be needing an update, try that.

Wipe you drive and re-install your os also scan your bios for viruses as even wiping your drive will not get rid of a bios virus.

Format you drive and reinstall your windows (or what OS you're using) if for some reason the problem still are there, its something with your hardware.

Your best bet is to reload into safe mode, and run MSE.
Than after a reboot check services that are starting during boot.(Windows Key+R) Enter "Services.msc" for anything loading that's unusual, you can google the services to see what should be there and not.

It also kinda sounds like a video card failure, but I can't be sure. Is it a laptop or a desktop? If you do have a dedicated video card on a desktop be sure to check its temps. Damn things are very known to cause system instabilities when the card is dying.

My POS eMachines desktop started doing that, I thought it was getting hot and took the side off and it doesn't happen anymore. So you could do a factory restore or restore to a earlier time and hope it works, or try do something so it won't get hot.
