Update must be deleted. My career will no longer be VC it will be SP, but you can still buy everything.
Steps!
1 : start a my career and play the rookie show case game
2 : after you get drafted spend your sp before your game untill you have like under 30 sp.
4 : play a good game, complete a milestone and a dynamic goal
5 : quit the game in the 4th quarter when there is 14-14.9 seconds left, make sure IT'S NOT SAVE AND QUIT
6 : when you go back to myplayer it should show negative sp
7 : Buy everything you want!!
8 : Download update and enjoy.

Do you have to have the dynamic goal? Or will it work without it? Thanks!

Yes, the dynamic goal is needed for it to work. Play on 12min and it will probably be easier for it to show or for you to get it.
