It depends whether or not you want to go out and about while gaming I suppose; a laptop would be helpful in that regard, however laptops can get hot pretty quick from my experience, causing slowdowns and stuff.
I used to game on a laptop, now I use a desktop.

Unless you absolutely need mobility, always go for a desktop PC. It will be more powerful and last longer for the same price. Laptop is really only for those constantly on the move.

Depends on your gaming needs and habbits. Also your personal preferences. I would go for the gaming laptop because of the portability and ease of use.

The only plus a laptop has over a desktop is portability. If you don't plan on veing mobile, get a desktop.

desktop you can upgrade + you will get a lot more performance for your $$$$
