<font color='black'>2010 was a great year for gaming, with First Person Shooters leading the way. 2011 is set to be even better, with some massive titles lined up by developers; including the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise. We’ve compiled a list of the most exciting First Person shooters set for release this year.
<h2>Battlefield 3</h2>

Similar to Bad Company 2, there will be four classes, but they will be packed with more unlockables. DICE have claimed the progression system will be getting an overhaul, as will the squads system.

Main characters, Grayson and Ishi, find themselves surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh eating gangs.
The ‘kill with skill’ feature of Bulletstorm is what separates it from most First Person shooters, with over-the-top, gory methods available to kill each enemy. Players can use the ‘kill with skill’ system to rack up points, which can be reclaimed for upgrades allowing ‘crazier skillshots’. The game delivers a great arsenal of futuristic weapons for players to make use of.

Replayability of the game comes from the online experience, allowing players to take battle online with up to 12 players or via a 4-player split-screen, which features a modular armor system and selectable skins. Players collect currency to purchase new weaponry, armor and weapon upgrades.

Players can take on their enemies by squashing them by kicking cars or power them down with explosive weaponry. Engagement is improved with the ability to use Stealth Mode and turn the player invisible, and players are extremely fast; providing fast-paced action.
The Xbox 360 exclusive demo showcased the Online Multiplayer side of the game, featuring a perk and weapon system similar to that of the Call of Duty franchise.

Action-packed and hilarious, Duke Nukem Forever looks set to be an excellent finale to the series. As Duke says in the trailer, ‘after 12 ******* years it should be’.
