No, i didnt have them on my account, i did it in the same way you get the two x2010's.

Didnt change anything else, i just body swapped em using the stock version of the cars.

You can use any car, but the name of the donor car remains the same in the garage and the game doesn't seem to update it. So choosing a matching car model/make would seem to be the ideal solution.
Sharing them online they do infact show up as the correct car name, but of course you can't borrow them, only look.
