(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); There is now an easier way to permanently change your IDPS and PSID

I recently found a PKG that's gives a easier way to permanently change the IDPS and PSID without the need of Cygwin or copies of your Nor/Nand flash

To be able to complete this is you need the following tools:

• Jailbroken ps3
• USB drive (pen drive)
• EI0 root key dumper signed for 4.50 You must login or register to view this content.
• EI0 root key dumper signed for 3.55 You must login or register to view this content.
• MultiMan
• Hex editor
• New valid IDPS
• IDPSET PKG 0.6 You must login or register to view this content.

OPTIONAL

Load MultiMan and open system information at the bottom you will see your current IDPS take a note if you want just so you can compare afterwards to see if it has changed

MUST

1. firstly you need to dump your EEID root key find above the link for a signed 4.50 PKG, no longer need to downgrade to dump root key, if you’re on 3.55 you will also find the link above.

Simply install the appropriate PKG for your (CEX) CFW and run it, your ps3 will beep 3 times and restart. DONT PANIC ITS NORMAL!!

Your root key has been successfully dumped
Know you need to find your dumped key
And copy to your USB

Load Up MultiMan and load the file manager
Go to the following directory depending on the firmware you’re using

Dev_hdd0/tmp/ for 3.55

Dev_hdd0/game/FLTZ00010/USRDIR for 4.50

Copy the root key to the root of the USB drive

2 install the IDPSET PKG and run the PKG

3 once open you will be presented with a few options

Firstly you will see your current IDPS

Underneath you will see:

• Save IDPS
• Load IDPS
• Edit IDPS
• Generate a DEX and a CEX dump of the current NOR/Nand
• Go To PSID
• EXIT

Know you have two options on how to change the IDPS

SECOND OPTION is ALOT Easier!

This has a sub menu highlight load IDPS and press right on the Dpad

You will see

Tut is good, only thing I think you should add is if someone wanted to change their PSID with this. They need to create a psid.bin file on their computer and load it with the PSID Tool to change it.

Yes it works, I helped my friend with a banned console. We changed his IDPS and PSID with this and it worked without problems.

So with this method theirs no possibilities of a brick if anything goes wrong since you don't need to flash any dumps. Am I correct?
