I am not the founder of this method, Credit goes to LucidPerceptions. I thought would post a tutorial on his behalf and for the people that don't understand how to use his method in a more advanced explanation.

First Step:
Download the latest version of PSN Patch (4.66.33)
Download PSN Patch:

and install the .pkg file on your CFW

Second Step:
Download my edited .cfg file
Download .Cfg:

Third Step:
Now, Once you have Installed PSN Patch on your CFW and downloaded the .cfg file you want to go to multiman. Once you are in multiman, on your PC load FileZilla, (If you do not have FileZilla Here Is a download link:

Once you have loaded FileZilla, connect your target then follow this path: /dev_hdd0/game/BLJS10018/USRDIR
Then replace the psnpatch.cfg file with the psnpatch.cfg file you downloaded from this thread.

Fourth Step:
Once you have done that, exit multiman and load up PSN Patch 4.66.33.
Now. Press the "select button" and you should notice that you have been givin the option to spoof to 4.70.
Select that option and continue with the procedure.
Your PS3 will Restart and you will be spoofed to 4.70!

Fifth step:
Before you try to sign into PSN please wipe your history using PSNinja! As there is still a ban possibilty!(This method will not work if you have a banned IDPS! Please make sure you have Non-banned IDPS before you try signing in!

Sixth Step:
Load your game through XMB menu and not multiman!
Be sure to spoof your IDPS aswell before playing any online games.

NOTE: This has only been tested and confirmed working on Habib 4.66!
(If you have problems with the tutorial and you are a DEX user, I suggest converting to CEX Habib 4.66 then trying, As this method does tend to work most of the time for CEX users, Including myself.)

1. Install 4.70 Spoof pkg with Install package files
2. Launch it and select Habib CFW, then Active Spoof
3. Once it's installed press X two times to do a hard reboot
4. Connect to PSN

Hey guys
I'm getting a 3.55 ps3 on saturday and I wanted to ask a few questions
1st is what should I do first? Should I install a 3.55 cfw? If so what?
2nd is what packages/homebrew should I install on the ps3?
3rd is what's better darknet 4.66 or Habib 4.66? What's the difference? Is there any restrictions on one of them?
4th is is there a risk of me being cid banned using Psnpatch 4.66.33 to spoof to 4.70? I know about the spoofer patch.
5th is what are the different types of mod menus? For instance what is an all client menu?

1. Yes, You will want to install a CFW.
This can be any CFW of your choice (Personal opinion, Habib 4.66)

2. The basic Homebrew apps like MultiMan, PSNinja, Control Fan Utility, PSN Patch.
(You need to run your fan at all times! This prevents the YLOD and hardware failure.)

3. Habib 4.66 is better (again, My Personal opinion) There is very little difference between the 2 CFW's.

4. If you follow this tutorial correctly you will not get banned. Be sure to run PSNinja before going online and spoof your CID with Control Console.

5. The different type of mod menu's are, SPRX menu's, GSC menu's. (An all client menu is a menu that has the option to give mods to all clients., which are in most GSC/SPRX menu's now these days.)

I tried it 10+ times I even downgraded back to 3.55 then went back to Habib and it still didnt work
