I looked up if there was a way to get custom firmware by modifying the hardware in my PS3 and stumbled upon a website called *not sure if I can post the link* claiming that with an update file, they were able to install CFW on their superslim. Is this just my desparation talking? or could this be a real thing?

All SuperSlim Consoles and Slim 3XXX Models are currently not CFW-able. Yes, the website youve found is a Scam.
