I'm new with using this sort of thing with the PS3. Could you tell me how to actually use it after I've downloaded it onto my USB?

what are you talking about?..do you mean how do you install it?..your usb needs to be fat32..create a folder name it PS3, open that, create another folder name it SAVEDATA, open that, then put the save in here...be sure to resign the save to your account first or it may not work
