If they said it will not be backwards compatible, would it make more sense for Rockstar to just go ahead and push the release date of GTA V back again in order to release it on PS4/Xbox 720 instead of PS3/360?

The part about GTA I was wondering the same thing... I think they do not want to do backward compatible to make money. You either need to keep your ps3 or buy a ps3 or buy a 'digital cloud' copy.

also a game like GTV might be released on both platforms ps3/4.
