Just from looking at the detailed specs that Sony released, the PS4 does have enough memory and the specs to have a similar form of cross game chat, so I would expect the PS4 to have it.

yes it said in the reveal that you could talk with friends while they are playing another game

I did hear them talking about talking to friends that are on other games so with that said I would expect the PS4 to have it.

i really hope so! its one of the most asked for features. they would be so stupid not to have it this time round, being all social n all it would be really stupid not to have it and limit the sociability for people
