Oh boy, it's like summer 2007 all over again. A poster on the High Def Diggest Forums has provided photographic evidence from a supposedly upcoming K-Mart sales sheet, which advertises a $50 price drop for the Premium Xbox 360 -- bringing its price to $299.99. The drop is said to be made on July 6, which would be one week before the start of E3.
While it seems legit, there are a few mysteries surrounding the posting, including what the anonymous poster's relation to K-Mart actually is. "I got pics from my Kmart sales ad coming out July 6th," is all he or she wrote, which is rather ambiguous. And there's no mention of any date in the photograph of the ad itself, so we're taking this enigmatic person at their word as far as the timing for the price drop goes. Also still unknown is whether a price drop will be announced for other versions of the 360 hardware, as the 20GB version seems to be the only one advertised. But then, this wouldn't be the first time a hardware price drop was spoiled by a rogue sales sheet -- both a PS3 price drop and a 360 Price drop(across all hardware versions) were leaked in the same way around this time last year.
Microsoft have finally realised that there prices are too high! I already own an xbox 360, and live in the United Kingdom. My xbox was cheaper than this in the first place.
