you can connect to tools before you sign in but if you try to attach to a tool before you sign into the servers that will get you banned. all i use to keep me from getting insta banned is i turn on my ps3 and i restore my console id and afterwards i go to PsNinja and i click option 1,3 and 5. and i exit and go play the game. i have not been banned a single time yet on 1.17 and i have been using tustin's antiban public cheater eboot. I never have problems with bans, only with data corruptions because im always changing my prestige. lol
