In any black ops fastfile, there is a big chunk of bytes in the header that is essentially a hash of the encrypted data in the fastfile. This chunk is the RSA signature for that fastfile. If you modify a fastfile in any way, that RSA signature becomes corrupted and the fastfile will no longer load. To get around this, you have to patch the EBOOT.BIN file to ignore the RSA signature. To do this, you have to decrypt the EBOOT and find and replace the hex pattern you mentioned in your post. Fortunately for you, I have already gone and patched an EBOOT.BIN for each region.
