(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have noticed many people (including myself) have stumbled upon the issue of passing the "Obtain IP Address Test" but fail on the "Internet Connection Test".

I found a solution that hopefully will help all of you struggling with the same issue.

1. Disable Firewall
2. Type in your Default Gateway IP in your browser to take you to your IP server. (Most are 192.168.1.1).
3. Then, change your IP (Not your default gateway IP) to the IP on the Patch Blocker. Save Settings.
4. When you type in your default gateway, it shouldn't work (this is what happened for me.)
5. Now, type ipconfig in command prompt as you have previously before, and now check your new IP address. Mine changed to the IP on the patch blocker, except the end was .101 instead of .1 (This shouldn't really matter.)
6. Enter the NEW IP Address on your IP config into your Proxy Server settings, and it should work.
7. Continue with all the steps on how to get 1-10th prestige.
8. ???
9. Profit!

Nice but this isn't a MW2 Hack/Exploit. Wrong Section. It should be a sticky in the ps3 section though.

I guess you're right.

It is still indirectly related with hacking though, and I think more people would look in this section for internet connection issues just because it is easier, since they are either coming from one of the tutorial threads or the patch blocker thread.

That's just my take though .

Feel free to move it if you feel it would be better in a different section, mods.
