If you cant install .pkg files then obviously its not jailbroken and if your on 3.66 there is only data transfering from a cfw/jailbroken ps3. IM STILL ON 3.61:fa::fa:

There is a 3.66 Jb... but all it does is change the pup version of your firmware... so it's a JB without all the useful stuff... lol! 
And as for your question, no you can't host a challenge lobby unless you have a friend that has a CFW PS3 and transfers the patch to you. Or you buy a new PS3 on 3.55.

Really of course you would obviously be the only person existing that has cfw 3.66 what did you do invent a time machine and go forward 20 years and get the firmware just because you was on 3.55 and the accidentally updated doesn't mean your on 3.66 cfw if you have cfw 3.66 why don't you release and become know for the cfw, and tbh if you had 3.66cfw then why would you need any help with anything!!!
