Infamous.
Climbing up the ladder
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); We may finally get this partially fixed, as Robert Bowling announced on his twitter (You must login or register to view this content.) earlier that the main priority over at IW is to "Address laggy connections."
Dont expect a full fix anytime soon, but you can look forward to an improved connection and less lag issues for most of you guys.
IW appears to be interacting with their community experiencing these problems: "we are talking with users, identifying the problem, and updating."

EDIT ---------------------------------------------
Also, for you guys having trouble with your Founder Status Beachead said via Twitter that "Founder status can take a while to appear." A link with steps to confirm you have successfully redeemed Founder Status: You must login or register to view this content.

This is why CoD needs dedicated servers, there are always problems within the first month of release, and they should know by now that there is always an overhal of players.. And to the people being bf3 fandicks just remember CoD beat your sales and that is why we are lagging and IW does not use dedicated servers because of this reason

Yes, because Activision selling more copies than EA has really benefited you. :rolleyes:Their pathetic excuse to why they can't put in dedicated servers was that there is too many people playing. The whole statement comes of as condescending given that Blizzard provides dedicated servers for WoW, which undoubtedly has more players than CoD. All it really says is that Activision has no long term plan for CoD and that as soon as people get tired of the formula they are going to drop it on its head. Point in case : Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, Spiderman.

Sorry but in this instance dedicated servers are not the answer, they have written some over complicated lag compensation code which is the issue.

You will never get dedicated servers on COD especially for free. Down to one factor, money. You many say that COD makes enough but the massive volume of players on cod would probably cost way over $200 million to set up and run. This will only put the price of the game up. Anybody who wishes to debate the cost of dedicated servers please fire away, I have great experience in large grid/cloud based networks and the cost of them world wide. World and Warcraft has them yes but you pay a monthly fee. Homefront had them but never had more than 150K concurrent users at any one time. COD MW3 was about 4-5 Million concurrent users.

BF3 has partial but they are gambling on overtaking COD BF3 won't make EA a lot but it could in the future

Change WoW with a game like Guild Wars, Diablo, or Starcraft where you don't have to pay a monthly fee and then you see just how much Activision shafts their user base.
