Default Proof that CallOfDuty is dying

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 may have been the best-selling title of last year, but sometimes the first month of sales don't tell the whole story.

According to the January 2012's NPD figures, Modern Warfare 3 was able to sell a total of 386,000 during the month, fueled by a commercial with three celebrities and zero gameplay footage. To another series that would be great, but Call of Duty is held to a different standard. Call of Duty: Black Ops sold 750,000 units during the month of January last year, meaning that it nearly doubled the sales of Modern Warfare 3.

The question is: is this a sign of Modern Warfare 3 having shorter legs than its predecessors? Battlefield 3 put up a strong fight with sales totaling over 10 million, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive just around the corner ready for an AWP headshot. While the competition is is greater than previous years, it sounds like more than anything that Call of Duty fatigue is beginning to set-in.

doesn't necessarily mean it's dying, it might mean that Black Ops was a highly anticipated game and when people got it , it sucked ass*.
So maybe people thought Mw3 would be something like that.So not as much bought it

I guess people are realising there is better games out their. :/

With that being said, I am a HUGE Call of Duty fan but I am finding myself enjoying games much more on my PC. I feel Call of Duty may have run it's course and while I hate to admit it, something new needs to be brought to the table for the next CoD to be a sucess.

I've been a CoD fan for ages, when BF3 came out I stopped playing CoD. I play one game of Mw3 and I break my ****ing hand from punching in the wall.

It might be, but it seems that lately many people are leaving COD and going to other games.
