(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The AS50 is the last weapon you'd expect to pick up on the battlegrounds of MW3. But, that's not because it's a "bad" weapon. After some close scrutiny, I've identified three things you probably don't know about the AS50:

If you don't have time to watch the video, the three secrets are:

3) Using the prone position to improve the AS50's characteristics

2) Understanding that some sniper rifles are not high-mobility weapons

1) Taking advantage of the AS50's unique scope magnification

What's your take on the AS50?

It's strange though; I always viewed the AS50 as the high mobility sniper rifle due to its limited scope, damage, and semi-auto nature. If you use speed on it it's definitely the most mobile sniper IMO.

Speed actually increases movement speed by 10%. So, if I was to take the AS50's movement and add ten percent, the maximum possible movement speed for the weapon would be 88%. Even with speed, the AS50 does not match the MSR, L118A, or Dragonuv's 90% mobility. It's sad really...I like everything else about the weapon.

Like A.....
The unique scope is equal to useimg a variable and staying on stage 1, so there isnt really much use using this over another sniper "fully ranked up"

Also the RSASS is a slow sniper not high mobility, the in game stats are wronge so dont bother with in game stats

i think its a really good sniper to start off with since the magnification is relatively low so its easier for new players to pick up sniping
or they can just put on an acog

Unless of course you want to use extended mags and not have to use the attachments proficiency.

So, the lowest level on a variable zoom scope is NOT equal to the AS50's unique default magnification. Level 1 on a variable zoom scope is equal to 2.8x, while AS50's default is 2.4x. Small change, but change nonetheless.
