so i was wondering for online modding in mw3, how can i transfer an edited file to a non jailbroken ps3.
would i need a jailbrake ps3 in order to do this?
and if I do need a jailbroken ps3 does it have to be the same model as my non jailbroken ps3. For instance, if I have a slim ofw ps3 do i need another slim jailbrake ps3 cfw. ot it doesnt matter wheter the jb ps3 is a fat or a slim one.

If your transferring a patch from a jailbroken ps3 it doesn't matter what kind it is as long as its running on 3.55, you can only use Awsome File Manager on a Jailbroken 3.55 Ps3. You would obviously need an ethernet cable going from your jailbroken Ps3 to your normal 4.30/4.31 Ps3 and then all you have to do is data transfer once you have put your patch on using Awsome File Manager

You cannot use a modified EBOOT on a OFW PS3 yet, maybe in the future they will be able to make it so you can use modified EBOOTs on OFW PS3 but not at the moment.

what if i use Awsome File Manager on my Jailbroken 3.55 to put moded eboot on.. then data trans to ofw???

All modified eboots will only run on 3.55 CFW.
