Is this a DMZ issue with the router? OR is it NAT settings? I am a bit confused and wondering if someone can shed some light on it

This happened to me also on mW3, i had STRICT NAT and i couldn't join a lot of peoples party's, then i got new internet and it went to open and i could join everyone. So it must be a NAT issue.
