You can't say it doesn't work unless you've tried it on every single website on the internet. Plus, the username may not always be admin, unless you're targeting a specific web application. Chances are it won't work for most sites, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work at all.

Good point, that would be a stupid thing to do. But if you are able to get into their site, you should at least let them know so that they can fix the vulnerability. I've emailed many site admins before letting them know that their server was compromised.
