I think that antivirus only last for about a year then you need to re-new the subscription..

But can i change the settings?

idk usually when it expires you can't use the antivirus until you renew it.

Do you think i should just uninstall McAfee

Yeah I would... An buy another antivirus or just use a free one if you can't afford to pay for it right now like AVG.
