I've tried countless fixes for this and nothing is seems to be working when I try to boot the game I get an 80010009 error. I have my boot mode on release mode, I've tried patching the game on psnpatch and multiman, I've tryed copying it to a hdd and repeating everything above and nothing seems to be working! Would be a shame if I spent my money on a game I cannot play!

Make a backup. Mount the backup with multiman and select YES when asked if you want to fix the 80010009. Install. If you get the error after updating mount the game with multiman again. Yes it is that simple!

Try taking the game disc out of the PS3 so you don't accidentally select that instead of the backup.

This works for 100% of 80010009 errors on Rebug 4.46.1 Dex. If it is not working for you, you are doing something wrong. Yes I have tested it with the game you are trying to fix.

I think 8001009 means that the key in game eboot is for newer firmware. run latest multiman and mount game should ask you to change key in eboot. will fix it.

also if multiman cant patch it.. then try using ps3ita, which you will probably need to use to reset cid anyway in order to go online.

and as above stated by farsidex in order to patch an eboot. it will have to be on the hdd or usb.
