Try updating to 4.75.3 REX from You must login or register to view this content. and try it again. I believe FIFA 16 requires a minimum firmware of 4.75.

How would I do that? Via system update?

I would recommend doing it via Recovery Menu so it prevents anything like bricking, it is the safest way.

Make sure your PS3 is off. Then, hold the power button until you hear a beep, then another beep, then 2 rapid beeps. After that, let go of it. You will be in the recovery menu. Make sure the UPDATE the file is in the following directory.

/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Make sure it is renamed to PS3UPDAT.PUP, the update file you downloaded.

Then, the PS3 and UPDATE represent the folders inside the USB. Make sure they are all capitalized like that.

Once you have that, plug the USB in the right port on your USB.

Then, go to System Update on the Recovery Menu and it will start updating.
