For mods: I will be talking about CoD and BFBC so I was unsure where to post this.
Theres a 90% chance I will get flamed, but this just shows how many CoD fan-boys there are on this forum.
Before I start I want to say that I enjoy BOTH games, but over the last 2 days have preferred one of them.

Why BFBC2 Is better than Co
1. There is NO quick-scoping.
Quickscoping is NON realistic! Seriously, if in real life you had a Intervention and tried to quick scope it would kill you or you would be blind forever. Without QS it makes the game more realistic. A more realistic game = a better game.
2. Balances
In BFBC2 they update / fix gun, vehicle and equipment balances constantly with 'live fixes'. Now what have 3arc done about the really bad balances on CoD? Hmm lets see, they nerfed the AK74u... And thats it.
3. LAG LAG AND LAG
BFBC2 has dedicated servers, meaning no hosts. No hosts = NO LAG.
I have played BFBC2 for over a YEAR now and I have NEVER experienced 1 second of lag! On MW2 and BO I have lagged under the map, now thats bad.. My connection is 20mbps so I have a good connection...
4. Gravity
If you have ever played BFBC2, if your using a recon class (That's a sniper class for you CoD fan-boys) You will notice that you have to aim sligtly higher than your target if your shooting long distance, this is because of a MAGICAL thing called gravity.. This pulls your bullet down, It also means you have to shoot your rockets higher than your target. Because of GRAVITY
5. Destructible environment
This adds to the realism of the game... You can blow up anything you see!
I bet the 3arc didn't add a distributable environment because they were scared it would lag out too much. ahahah
6. Vehicles
Yes you drive a quad bike, Humvee, loads of helicopters, and loads of tanks on multilayer! Now lets see what can you drive on the CoD series... Umm a bike on campaign... HA
7. Team work
Teamwork in BFBC2 is a MUST! If you don't work as a team you WILL lose. This adds to the game realism, because on CoD you just run around separately with NO teamwork or cooperation!
8. Camping
On BFBC2 there is no camping! the map is so huge its pointless to camp..
And CoD ever second corner you turn you see a guy camping with a claymore or a heartbeat sensor...
9. Hacks...
All the CoD's have been hacked and modded. There is not ONE mod or hack for BFBC2. This makes the game legit enjoyable and FUN!
10. Overall game feel
CoD just feels fake.. because yeah your really gonna get shot with a sniper and then go to last stand kill the guy who shot you and then get up 30 seconds later.. CoD its more of a cartoon game if you know what I mean...
BFBC2 just feels real, there is not one aspect of BF that I can think of that makes it less of a joy to play or less realistic.

This thread speaks the truth. I ****ing love BC2 mostly because of how balanced it is and that it requires teamwork. I have a 1.78 k/d on black ops and that's not so bad, but I'm unable to have fun with the game. Everybody looks at your k/d and it's impossible to play the game and have fun while keeping your k/d up(I love to snipe but can't on BO).
In BC2 no matter what class you're playing as you have the ability to help out your team and have fun. Sniping is amazing and feels so much more rewarding when you have to line up your shot while still accounting for the bullet drop. And you're able to snipe the way snipers are meant to, sit back far in the map and pick off guys that may be defusing the bomb or capturing a point.
Pretty long post so if tl;dr BC2>CoD

BC2 is way better than COD. Teamwork is almost lost in all games these days because people online are just plain ignorant. However the only hang up I have of BC2 is everybody seems to bail in games when they start to lose. I mean whats the point of playing a game if your going to leave because the other team are winning.

Well you have said that dedicated servers are better than the CoD alternative. Whilst this is true, the state of these servers is not always great. When I play BC2 I always feel that hit registration is bad. Also, it constantly feels like you have a ping of 90+. I have BC2 of PC and Xbox and have the same problem on both. I do not get this on CoD, which I also own on PC and Xbox.
In BC2 I believe that sniping players are not without their flaws. Sure they are more realistic, as you can't quickscope, but that means that you have many people who sit at the edge of the map trying to snipe, even though you are on offense. This can be extremely annoying and can cause your team to lose. On CoD at least snipers can play offensively to help your team.
I love both games, but they are both flawed. I don't like how you make BC2 out to be the perfect modern shooter, because it isn't.

In a sense this is true, although I think 90+ ping is somewhat of an exaggeration. Now isn't it better for everyone to have 90 ping than to have 2-3 select people on a 80-90 and the rest of the lobby at 100+? The host on CoD has 30-40 ping, 4 bars= 60-80 ping, and 3 bars= 80-100+. Also don't forget that hosts team has a connection advantage against the team.

Once again this is true, you do get players who don't play the objective in the slightest bit and that's quite annoying. But doing that isn't as rewarding as it is in CoD. You could sit back for an entire game and earn your killstreaks thus earning you more kills and increasing your k/d (that's mostly what everyone cares about). BC2 isn't flawless but not nearly as flawed as CoD
