(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I hope the term of people taking life for granted isn’t actually taken for granted and out of context. Life is indeed very short and you really should appreciate every waking moment it offers. During High School, I had many friends. Upon finishing and graduating, I realized how many of those friends were actually here to stay. Out of a countless number of friends I had back then, I still keep close contact with only a few of them. Close and real friends are hard to come by. So, when to they do, don’t let them go.

One of my few close long-term friends just had a baby and became a Daddy today. I’ve known him for many years and I still can’t believe he’s a daddy. Nonetheless, it put life in its proper perspective for me. Seeing him hold his little boy in his arms made me look at life in a completely changed angle. I saw and felt the unmeasured happiness on his face and it helped me shape my life.

Here’s a picture of the little fella, Mason.

So, my point here is that life is simply short. Enjoy it. Keep your enemies far, and your true friends very close by. The birth of one of my best friends child was definitely an eye opener. So, if you’re at an age where friends seem abundant, just keep in mind they aren’t forever. If you’re still in High School, just keep in mind your friends’ won’t be around forever. Upon graduation, many will go their separate ways. However, there will be a few than will still remain close. My friend here is one of them. The birth of his little baby boy aroused emotions in me in which I thought weren’t even possible; however, they are.

So, my friends of NGU, keep in touch with your close friends. It will ease your life by much in the years to come. I made this thread solely to display the importance of close quarter friendship.

With our history, not sure if trolling or srs.

Anyhow, thanks for the responses guys. I took High School for granted and didn't enjoy it fully. I saw it as a burden to be honest. Up until my senior year, I wasn't too fond of it. I made up for it during my senior year, but I let almost three years slip by me. If you guys are still in High School, or going to be soon, enjoy the fuck out of it. I'd give anything to go back to High School. Life was so much simpler. I had so much free time, so many more friends, and no bills or financial worries. Now, shit is real and it's not that great. But you gotta keep on keeping on, I guess. So, enjoy High School guys, because after it's over, you'll realize it's value.
