It's because you got shot, naded, C4 etc. by an enemy. The game thinks you're dead so you can't pick up your throwing knifes, scavenger packs, guns etc.

What I like to do when I play with the god mode class is not to rush to much so you don't get shot. When I kill someone I like to pick up there weapon just in case I get shot, if I run out of ammo on my gun I have a back up gun to use.

Also, if you're a newbie with the god mode class you can ONLY change perk 1, 3, and your secondary gun. If you change anything else, you will LOSE god mode!
