Entry Level/Budget
GTX 1050ti. Small Affordable yet fairly past card for 1080p gaming, uses very little power, good to upgrade a prebuilt pc like a dell or hp

Rx470, a little larger and more expensive then the 1050ti, still very fast and affordable option, not as good for upgrading a prebuilt hp, or similar

Higher End GPU/Enthusiast*
GTX1060 6gb medium range graphics card great for 1080p gaming, good for upgrading a older custom pc or in a new build. faster then the entry level cards. comes in 3 and 6gb, but you want to get the 6gb version as the 3gb version isn't worth buying over the amd options on the market

AMD RX480 8gb. the same story as the 1060. comes in a 4gb and 8gb version. its very fast for the money and will play games great dont buy the 4gb one.

GTX1070 8gb. The card you want to buy. its fast will play 1440p games and 144hz good maybe even be able to play some 4k games if they aren't as demanding. expensive usually costs close to $400

GTX1080 8gb. The fastest Consumer grade graphics card that most people will buy. same as the 1070 but even faster, 1440p is no problem and is getting even closer to making 4k a reality. extremely expensive to purchase. most are above $600
