If I take a diamond, turn on 64 blocks, then turn those diamond into blocks then the blocks back into diamonds, the diamonds do duplicate
and you can use them. I do it all the time.

I knew you could do it with some of the items in the crafting table but was going to let users figure it out on their own by trial and error... I never did diamonds though.... iron works fine no converting.
