I'm pretty sure a lot of people on Custom Firmware tried to play Destiny. Some of them enjoyed it, some not. The fact is that we all noticed how this game is so damn protected. Even without modding, a lot of people gets banned from this game, so just being on CFW ( of course this is already an high risk ).
The thing that I noticed is that some people, unlike most of others, survive to these " ban waves ", I don't know if the reason is just being lucky or not, maybe it just needs time. I don't know.

I'm writing this for try find the other reason ( other than just being on Custom Firmware ) if there are any, that can cause the ban. So if someone ( that is banned or not ) can share his setup, would be appreciated..
I'll start!

Let's say at the beginning that I got a total of 3 banned accounts from Destiny. However, these accounts are still alive from PSN, Console ID aswell.

First account : ZackFairFF7X
Just got the game after some days of the release. Installed all DLCs ( even ghost shell ). Played fine till the release of The Dark Below DLC.
If I remember right I had Rebug 4.46.1 DEX, and maybe I was using PSN Patch ( triangle function for disable CFW )

Second account : Evil_Destiny_VII
This account lasted moooooooore than the previous one. I started to play on January, installed all DLCs except season pass and ghost shell. Got banned on May 19th, with the release of House of Wolves DLC ( again, so this explains that they do a " clean dust " on every release of something important.
Setup : Rebug DEX 4.65.2, then 4.70.1 . Used webMAN, and played Destiny in ISO format. Used first " Enable OFW " function of CCAPI, then I used the PSN Patch PLUGIN instead of CCAPI.

Third account : ZackFairXVII
At this point I was really tired, but because some people survived, I created this third and last account for try understand the reason of the ban.
Always Rebug 4.70.1 , webMAN, Destiny in ISO format in internal HDD and created with the IRD file.
Installed all patches and compatibility packs directly from the account, reached level 20 without DLCs. Then installed season pass via rap file activation, activated with one of my Console IDs. Got banned yesterday.

After this I don't know what to say anymore, I just gave up, but I'd like to hear some opinions from you guys, banned and non banned users aswell, if there are still any.
Seems that being just on CFW is already the main risk of the ban, but at this point everyone should be banned, and what I don't understand is that some aren't banned. There are probably secondary reasons, that I'd like to find with you all.

I remember that my webMAN wasn't unloaded from memory ( you can unload it by pressing the combo in XMB L3 + R3 + R2 ). I disabled the option for unload it because with webMAN I had setup a custom fan speed, so couldn't unload it or my fan speed would restore to the normal one. ( causing my ps3 to overheat )

Update: Week 4 : Its been 1 month using the PSN Version of the game and still no ban Hopefully this ends up lasting because starting to put time into the acctual account now. Will keep you guys updated, let me know if you need files or how I setup

I have yet to be banned on my account. i have psn version that was posted on this site. Ever since that day, i havent been banned. its been months and not once have i had an issue

Thats weird man, how are you still not banned This is like my 12th account and im trying everything and always results in ban :/ You got any DLC's and any PKG's installed? And also watch region is your account from? and is there anything your doing to prevent banned?

I haven't played this and just recently got my console unbanned and read all your responses and notice a theme, DLCs get you banned, but like ive said I've never played this before so does the game get real boring or something without the DLCs? Otherwise why do you have to use the DLCs?

Also back earlier someone said something about using Cobra as being not as safe as other payload, actually with recent versions of PSN Patch Cobra is ACTUALLY SAFER with its stealth extensions because it mimics OFW table more accurately than anything else. Also if you use webMAN to mount if you use the PSN patch PLUGIN it'll unload itself and Webman from memory as it disables CFW syscalls. So it would be smart to do that as well as I read the OP kept webman enabled for overheat protection, but then someone said they might have forgot to unload webman from memory and you do this the same way with PSN patch L3+R3+R2.

Still not banned. I use the PSN version of the game which i downloaded from PSNdl or psnstuff. I use psnpatch to activate it using the rap file. I even installed all the dlcs from a pkg that has the season pass etc.. I started playing Destiny using this method in December and i have yet to be banned. I am using a private cid to spoof my banned ps3 cid.

Yep turns out the cause is the Pirated Game and DLC's that causes ban, Has anyone actually bought the Game and DLC's on CFW and has Enabled PSNPatch and all that other stuff to test to see if they would get Banned?

I'm still not banned, from June. I'm hoping well this time, but the nightmare still have to come. It will be on 15 September, when TTK will be released.. I hope for the best

The Taken King was released today to the "scene"so 4 days early, obviously don't get online with it until the 15th at the earliest. I really want to play this but my friend who gave me the CID told me to stay away from any activision games. When you guys get banned (from Destiny) is just MAC address or console? I assume it's MAC unless you log on without disabling CFW syscalls then its console. JUst wondering because if thats true I might try Destiny if I'll only get banned from the game (and not console) cause at this point it feels like I'm banned from the game anyway because I'm keeping myself from playing it because it's aban happy game.

And dude I bet you get banned even if you dont install TTK because they will be looking for people like you. I would either stay off the game on the 15th for at least a week or if you think they willban you anyway play as much as possible.
