So I clicked Ok and a Notification popped up and said to download the latest update you must update to FIRMWARE 3.56 and when I said No it took me back to the XMB. I could play the games I had already installed though and it didn't ask me to update to 3.56. Can someone please explain how I can install new games without updating and can you give me some links?

You need to exchange the eboot in certain games with a modified eboot to get them to work. what games do you need to get working??

Replace original PARAM.SFO with FIXED PARAM in ---> HOMEFRONT/PS3_GAME.
Replace original .sprx with the NEW fixed sprx in ---> /PS3_GAME/USRDIR/BINARIES/PS3/SPU.
Replace original EBOOT.BIN with NEW fixed EBOOT.BIN in ---> HOMEFRONT/PS3_GAME/USRDIR.
