backup managers cant backup dvds or bluray disks....yet

Are you hoping to do this for movies or what?

If its just movies then download/copy to PC, set up FTP server between PC and PS3 and then FTP the files into where video files go... it'll then showup on the XMB if you did it right and it's a playable file type.
