Whats the difference between the patched pup and the diff patch?

going to try this as i have just bought a original fat 60gb upgrading from 3.15 to 3.55 then putting this cfw on hope its good

one is the orginal the other one is the update

the diff file you have to merge with the original firmware yourself its to save time downloading if you already have the ofw and the already patch pub is the files already merged

can u take the patched on and overwrite v1.0 of ps3ita
