The “PS3 hvcall tools” mentioned in the list above is used for handling kernel panics–restarts the console after a kernel panic.

Graf has released his PS3 Linux tools today which will allow you to dualboot Linux and GameOS on your PS3. This process is obviously complicated, and there is a guide to follow however its not the easiest thing in the world to do if your a “noob”.
