Department (there are 2 levels of QA flags, Minimum and Advanced). In short it could lead to a complete open PS3…and yes all the CFW, homebrew and backup manager your little heart desires.You must login or register to view this content.
Well the method of how to “QA flag” your PS3 was never posted/revealed but since then plenty of hints have been given in attempts for the “scene”, and one of the first steps was to figure out the secret button combo. Well after weeks of people trying and moaning, the man behind the emulators – squarepusher 2 has released/posted information on exactly what that button combo was. Noobs do not try this – the guide below is still a work in progress and QA flag button combo is the icing on the cake.
How to QA Flag your PS3, the button combo:
1. Be on 3.55 OFW (no rebug): You must login or register to view this content.
2.Move the PS3 cursor/select “Network Setting“
3.Punch the following button combo with your PS3 controller: L2 + L1 + R1 + R2 + L3 + D-pad Dow
4. Thats it, the “Edy Viewer”, “Debug Settings”, “Install Package” Menu will now appear.
Notes and disclaimers:
Install Package is useless and can’t install homebrew at the moment – only signed PKGs (and the first one in root of USB only).
This is not all that is needed to QA flag your PS3, but its a big start for the community – we still need all the pieces to fully QA flag the PS3 and its the scenes job to “figure out the rest”.

lol have you been here for the past months? Sony can easily patch this, we are not talking about MS here.
1. "Jailbreak with dongle can't patched" patched with 3.42
2. "Jailbreak with the keys will be impossible for Sony to patch it" Patched with 3.56
3. "Backups will always be there, whenever a game is released we will get it for free" Patched with 3.60

as i stated before this is something you find in the firmware thats how mathiuleh found it by reversing the vsh so if this is set to advance it will stay till future update all they could change is button sequence which will be able to find easily

You know exactly what I put right? I think the keys where more "impossible" for Sony to patch because they had to "put a key into every game release" and they easily patched, I don't see a reason that if this gets released, in the next firmware it get patched. With the keys you could actually get anything, have full access to the PS3, a few weeks later it got patched.
But anyways

Lets get like 100 people hitting random buttons. lol. we'll find it eventually.
Also, we know the combo does not use left right, X or the PS button. We know this b/c the XMB only moves up or down when you hear him start entering the button combo. I know he never hit the PS button b/c his controller battery strength never showed up near the top. The only possible keys he used are L1, L2, R1, R2, Triangle, Square, O, Start, and Select.
