Update! Success! It worked, The games play fine on 4.00 OFW. All you do is install the full game pkg on your cfw and install the Edat Fix as well. Then you just data transfer. (Will Post vid)

Update 2! This still works for firmware 4.10 so no worries.

so the idea is this.... you get a PSN DEMO from the PS SERVERS
!(UNMODDED OFFiCAL DEMO FROM SONY)!
download a EDAT fix for that demo (EXEtrimALL EDAT'S) install the demo & EDAT on CFW then data transfer to OFW

for the EDAT fix and you have to put it in here
/dev_hdd0/home/0000000x/exdata/ (x is your user id number, like 1, 2, 4)

first of all connect the two ps3 with a ethernet cable then on the 3.55 ps3 go to the settings menu
then system settings
then data transfer utility
hit OK
then choose option 1
now it will ask if you have the other ps3 linked up hit OK
now go to the second ps3 (OFW 4.00 or any OFW up to 4.00)
go to the settigs menu
then system settings
then data transfer utility
hit OK
now pick option 2
it will inform you that everything on the ps3 will be formatted so make sure you have nothing of value on your ps3 hdd (game saves!!!) and dont forget to deactivate your ps3 system if you play online 1st before this stage

any game release from EXEtrimALL that has a EDAT FiX will work this way so about 90% of his releases SHOULD WORK on OFW 4.00
that includes
PS1, PSMiNi, THEMES, DLC & PSN GAMES
some releases from EXEtrimALL require a PKG & EDAT FiLE in order for it to work on CFW 3.55 (example SKYDRIFT) this is a 3.60 GAME & the PKG makes it work on CFW3.55 so when transfering games like this one and others you dont install the PKG FiX just the EDAT & DEMO thats all this method requires

(the reason i think this works on ALL these PSN TiTLES is because the game is UNMODDED and at boot must check /exdata/ to see if its has been paid for and of course the edat is there confirming the content is valid)
ALSO you can just install the themes straight on to OFW 4.00 just download the themes put them on a USB & install them in the THEME SETTiNGS MENU on the ps3

Well that makes me wonder now then with that being said whats stopping other things from working... I got an idea im going to try when I get time with this ill report back later with the results if its successful I may make a thread depending on the success or fail of them cause I may need help... but ill get to that later as now im going to bed its almost 3am...

is there any way to do this all on ofw 4.0 if you dont have a cfw ps3. I was thinking about using XMB file manager by DeViL to transfer the edat file into the demo to unlock it. (XMB file manager can be used on 4.0)

Nope because you need a Ps3 on firmware 3.55 or lower to install his XMB File Manager. Check out the thread I made explaining it You must login or register to view this content.
