Sony changed the psn server - this is why you guys get the error code


80710A06 = cell ssl connect handshake error/cell ssl certificate verification failed

I can vouch for OP. At one point in the middle of the night PSN was actually down for all users. I haven't tried signing onto PSN today but my friend did and he got the following message "CELL_HTTPS_ERROR_HANDSHAKE 0x80710a06 SSL Connect Handshake error, or SSL certificate verification failed". Anyways it's either something fucked up with the SSL or as OP stated they've changed servers.

I had the error on a retail console too. But it fixed itself

Not really lol. since their is a CFW 4.66, so it's still possible to make/update a JB.

I know but if there going to do that shit there better be some kind of benefit.. new servers = better security maybe?

I think you might be correct on that one because i searched a bit on this error and fout out that OFW users had the same problem before and sony fixed it by releasing 4.66. Sony switched their servers after the POODLE attack maybe the changed their servers again
