Ok, so I took it down to the bare bones of my little GameShark Poker, and I think I'm on a good role
Great news everybody! Apparently there are only 2 definitive "magic" numbers, so I did away with the xml junk which will make the tool faster and more efficiant

Ohh yeah good times, especially flashing the carts to run "backup games". As much as I loved the Playstation I still have an addiction for the socom series.
