(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Note: I am unsure if this process will work for anyone running any CFW other than Rebug 4.75.3 REX.

Step 1: If you are spoofing your firmware from 4.75 to 4.76 then you must deactivate your spoofer. If not then skip this step.

Step 2: Go to Game and run Rebug Toolbox. If you do not have it then you can install it by going to Package Manager -> Install Package Files -> PS3 System Storage.

Step 3: Under the System column select System Information to make sure your LV2 Kernel and Target Type say CEX. Also make sure your firmware says 4.75 CEX.

Step 4: Go to the Utilities column and enable Toggle QA Flag.

Step 5: Scroll up in the Utilities column until you reach Dump eid root key. Select it and then select Yes. Your PS3 will go blank for about 7 to 10 seconds, beep 3 times, and then restart.

Step 6: Go to Game and run Rebug Toolbox.

Step 7: Go to the DEX/CEX column and select Rewrite Target ID in Flash then select Yes. Your PS3 will go blank for a few seconds then turn back on.

Step 8: In the same column, go up one option and select Swap LV2 Kernel. It will tell you that your kernel was swapped successfully and then for a restart. Select Yes for your PS3 to restart.

Step 9: Go to Game and run Rebug Toolbox one last time.

Step 10: Under the System column select System Information and check to see that your PS3 Firmware is 4.75 DEX, your LV2 Kernel is DEX, and your Target Type is DEX.

Now you can sign in and enjoy using PSN once again. If you wish to go back to CEX once a spoofer has been released then simply repeat these steps in order.

when cobra is enabled you won't be able to change the lv2 kernel on rebug toolbox it will say that your fw is incompatible

I know, I was asking because when you skip a step in switching from CEX to DEX or DEX to CEX your PS3 will get messed up and the LV2 and Target won't show the correct type.

I don't really know what is causing your problem. What solutions have you tried to resolve it?

I think CCAPI is working for 4.76. I just installed it and it works fine.

The ccapi for the last 4.76.1DEX is not updated yet it will only work if you have a 4.76.1CEX

I guess i know why it changes the lv2 now, because i have checked the disable lv2 syscalls at the startup on webman that's why it changes the lv2 to cex Winky Winky and when i unchecked it from webman now even with cobra enabled it doesn't change at all! anyway i have jumped back to 4.65ITA just to wait a little bit more for the ccapi to be updated and i'll jump back to 4.76.1D-REX

Lol I didn't know that I just assumed that CCAPI worked on CEX and DEX but that DEX also had the capability to use TMAPI.

What is so good about using ITA? I see a few people using it and I've always wondered why when you have Rebug.

i just like to change from this to this that's all, and btw i know now why the lv2 kernel changes even if you don't activate the option to disable syscalls on startup from webman and you do it manually or by using psnpatch the lv2 will change to cex anyway Winky Winky just a litte something to add

One question, what about going back to standard 4.75 CEX CFW when 4.78 CFW comes out?

Regards
If your on 4.78 and you deactivated the spoof , then it'll go back to the latest firmware you were on! And if you want to go back onto the standard , then all you'll have to do is reinstall your CFW and it'll go back to normal! Hope this helps!
