The HDD is more than likely not compatible with your Playstation 3 Console.

I would try asking google or your local electronic consumer.

Sounds like classic ylod symptoms to me,is it a fat ps3?

Have you tried booting with no hdd in ps3?..If you still get 3 beeps its dead.

Probably just a coincidence that it broke while you where changing hdd

sounds to me like you got ylod (yellow light of death) if your familiar with this then it should be an easy process for some if not you will need the following:

Heat Gun
Arctic silver 5 thermal paste
phillips screwdriver

there are plenty of tutorials on youtube to do this mate, hope you fix it and good luck

Thanks to you two. It was the HDD i guess, i changed back the the normal, and it works, so i tried another one.
