Post: How to mod your controller (paint)

If your mad feel free to -rep me :carling:

Requirements
    
* 1 Sixaxis controller
* Primer spray paint
* blue (or any color you want) spray paint
* crystal clear spray paint


Disassemble
    
1. screw all 5 of the back screws on the controller
2. take back cover off
3. under battery their is a screw, unscrew that
4. take the motherboard/circut board off by the plastic, not the motherboard. 1 piece
5. place that somewhere
6. take the L1, and R1 buttons off
7. just dump all the other buttons into a plastic baggy.
8. place the front cover, and back cover somewhere to spray paint.


Painting
    
1. Cover the front/back in the primer (completely)
2. wait 1 hour for primer to dry
3. Spray paint the front/back completly in the color you want (blue)
4. wait 20-30 minutes to dry
5. Cover front/back in crystal clear paint
6. wait 20-30 minutes to dry


Reassemble
    
1. Place the front (upsidedown) on the floor/table
2. put the buttons ( [], X, O, /\ ) in on the left side
3. put the white rubber thing on top of it (one with O's)
4. put the DPAD on the right
5. put the claw thing on top of DPAD (diagnol) so it fits
6. put the other white rubber thing on top of it.
7. put the PS button in the middle, then the rubber thing (start, select)
8. now place the circut board/motherboard on top (dont scratch)
9. jiggle it in there so it fits. then screw in the screw u took out b4.
10. put the L2/R2 buttons to fit in. Then place the L1/R1 in front.
11. Place the back cover on by the L2/R2 buttons.
12. Wiggle it to it fits perfect.
13. Screw in the 5 screws in the back.

wrong section by the way but one quick question im planning on paining my controller multi colored(Neon green, Red and blue) tiger camo. my question is what steps would I have to take to do the multi colors p.s it still will have black stripes.

Paint the color you want the stripes, tape over it with the design once dry, spray with different color, tape with design after dry, paint final color, peel tape off.

the problem i had with painting controllers in the past is that the paint starts to rub off on my hands after some time of use

Do the opposite, paint the color you want, then use the color for the stripes.
