They won't cus not everyone is the world got HD tv now a days there is still some people cant afford it.... i got 4 hd tv's in my house so i am good but obv they won't remove it....

nevermind what i said i remember before release it was said to not support the avi output, but it was change to only put out 480i when playing copyrighted blu ray movies, only get high vid quality threw hdmi. they enforced this on the new model
