Yesterday, Shuhei stated that used games will not be blocked on the PS4 even though a patent was filed giving Sony the option to block them if they wish. When hearing this, gamer's where happy that they could sell on games when they have finished playing them and buy others used again on the next console. Business's such as GameStop where most likely overwhelmed that they will still be able to sell used games which keep them in business.


But today Shuhei has seemed to have changed his mind overnight. When asked again today the very same question as yesterday his answer had changed to “It's a publisher decision. We are not talking about it. Sorry.” Why he lied to reporters yesterday is anyone's guess, but this now makes us wonder what publishers will enable this. Yeah they will probably will indeed, a lot of game developers will. It will be interesting to see what they say about multiple systems in a household along with other publishers.
