All information released about the Gears of War 3 beta



The Gears of War 3 beta, which starts on the 25th April or 18th April if you own the Bulletstorm: Epic edition, will be running for four weeks until the 15th May.
Four maps will feature in the beta along with three gamemodes. The maps are called: Checkout, Thrashball, Trenches and Old Town. ALso the gamemodes will start out with just Team Deathmatch, but King of the Hill and Capture the Flag will be added in the last week.

The list of Beta unlocks is as follows:

Thrashball Cole: Complete 50 matches to unlock the character and another 10 using it so you can access it in the full game.

Gold-Plated Retro Lancer: Complete 90 matches to unlock the weapon and kill 100 people with it so you can access it in the full game.

Flaming Hammerburst: Finish one match by 24 April.

Flaming Lancer: Finish one match during the week starting 25 April.

Flaming Sawed-Off Shotgun: Finish one match during the week starting 2 May.

Flaming Gnasher Shotgun: Finish one match during the week starting 9 May.
