Dont use untethered, whatever you do. If you turn it off you cannot reboot, look for tethered.

I just re-jailbroke my iPod Touch 2G 16gig to 3.0 with redsn0w. Installing music, photos, videos and games has taken me over 2 hours now I got so much stuff. Pretty cool though I can actually pair it via bluetooth to my surround sound stereo system and a head set if I choose.

Only suck part is some good apps from cydia aren't compatible yet but they will be soon. All you need to do is

1) Download redsn0w 0.7.2 (newest version with bug fixes)
2) Sync iPod to iTunes
3) Put iPod into DFU Mode
4) Shift+click on restore button and locate 3.0 ipsw
5) allow to restore
6) Drop 3.0 ipsw onto redsn0w.exe allow it to open and verify the 3.0 software
7) redsn0w will automatically install/restore the custom 3.0 to your iPod, you'll be given a choice to install Cydia or Icy or both as well I put both on for the hell of it but that's it. Most usefull stuff comes from Cydia but some stuff still needs to be updated to work with 3.0 but I like 3.0.
