There really is no "best" headset for MW3 I mean 1. What makes a headset is sound quality and voice quality obviously and neither of those are game specific. I use the Turtle Beach PX5's for one main reason. Functionality, although it doesn't sound as good as Astros but still cost is much I like them more because I can hook them up to my phone via bluetooth and answer phone calls and listen to music directly in the ear cups and there programable and plus there fully wireless.

Although here are a few to look at depending on your price range (in no particular order):

1. Tritton Warhead

2. Turtle Beach x500

3. Astro A30 or A40 or A50

Astro A50's

You don't really need an exspensive headset just to game.

I've been using the Turtle Beach PX5's for almost 2 years and it still works great. Just have to take care of it and make sure you don't drop it,etc....
