I'm the W@W Menu Guy !
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey..
Since i've been editing patches a lot lately, i found it rather time-consuming always having to offzip & packzip manually, so i made a .bat file which does that for me..
& now for you to Smile

You must login or register to view this content.

how does it work:

You put the offzip.bat & packzip.bat in a folder with your patch_mp.ff & offzip.exe & packzip.exe (included in download)

You must login or register to view this content.

Doubleclick offzip.bat & it will decompress the patch & extract the rank.gsc

You must login or register to view this content.

You must login or register to view this content.

NOTICE: the rank.gsc will still be split in 2 files, idk how to do this in dos but it's nothing but copy paste to get it in 1 file..

-----------------------------

to pack:

once you have edited your rank.dat, paste it back in 000654ed.dat & 00061530.dat
once the rank is split in these 2 files again (correct of course)
just double click packzip.bat

You must login or register to view this content.

Time to transfer your patch Smile

decompress a ori patch with my tool, so you have unmodded dat files..
also, make sure your rank.dat has length 894B !!

HEX EDITOR
--------------------
Copy your entire rank.dat
then in your 61530.dat
CTRL + F
type in GSC & ENTER
PRESS RIGHT ARROW ONCE (ONLY ONCE !)
CTRL + SHIFT + END
CTRL + V
CTRL + HOME
CTRL + G
type in 10000 & ENTER
CTRL + SHIFT + END
CTRL + X
CTRL + S
in 654ed.dat
CTRL + E
ALT + L
type in 2FFA
CTRL + V
CTRL + S

now use my tool to packzip it to the patch Smile

this is how I do it, i don't use my mouse Smile
once you get the hang of it, all this takes less then 20 seconds Smile

So Basically you are saying..

Step 1. Put patch_mp.ff in folder with Offzip and packzip files
Step 2. Click Offzip and you'll get 2 files
Step 3. Edit the 2 files with HxD to how you like and When done editing do Packzip

Hooray you just edited a WaW patch_mp.ff =D , Go test it out!!!

Right? =P

basically, YEAH Happy
of course you still need to do the hex copy paste Winky Winky
idk how to do that in msdos, it should be possible with the debug command but too much trouble, copy paste is easier Happy
