what game are you using? not all games will use that for moving.

Every game doesn't support the Touch Pad monitoring system. You can find out by searching online for the game you're talking about, or you can even look in the Manual.

Open up your controller, and fiddle around with the ps4 controller's motion pad. I pried it open with a flathead and saw something was blocking the connection and it worked for me.

I wouldn't recommend doing this.

As above members said, not all games support this feature.
